HURT ENOUGH: A TOUCHING SONG WITH ENORMOUS CHARM

Released in partnership with up-and-coming label Sunpop Records, Dylan Owen links with Kinetics & One Love, to bring us "Hurt Enough", a song that sums up what happens in many relationships that once brought happy and harmonious moments, but with the passage of time, and wear and tear can become chaotic and toxic. Depending on the situation, discarding these people may or may not be easy, although it will always be somewhat painful.

Hurt Enough is an acoustic production spiced up with deep bass, in which the combination of the enchanting guitar notes with the enigmatic female voice of the choir, gives off an enveloping charm. Likewise, the forceful narrative that entails a break-up, mixes with the dynamism of rap and elevates the production to a higher level.

Dylan Owen has received many accolades through a host of music blogs that highlight the talent that has led him to share the stage with the likes of Mac Miller, Wiz. Khalifa, Watsky, Skizzy Mars, and Logic. He also garnered a loyal fan base who adore his signature hip-hop style.

His heartfelt lyrics come from his willingness to share personal stories that can serve as a starting point for others. He has had a tough run with his own mental health and is not afraid to show it off to his fans. This is probably why he receives thousands of sincere messages from followers on social networks who tell him that thanks to his songs they have experienced positive changes, and the comfort that they sometimes need.

In this regard, Dylan commented in an interview that “The reaction has been insane. It has been spreading like crazy which I'm beyond thankful for. I've been seeing people use the song in videos drawing anime, skateboarding, doing all kinds of things, and people are rocking my “You weren’t hurt enough for me” t-shirts from Cincinnati to Germany to Oklahoma to Canada. Fans have been asking me to collaborate with Kinetics again for years since the “Keep Your Friends Close” days, but it's nice to see it resonate with a whole new audience of my fans now ”.

The collective Kinetics & One Love (Jeremy Dussolliet and Tim Sommers) have also achieved platinum success with “Airplanes” and are now teaming up with Owen to complete the hit formula. The visual was shot by Patrick Lawler with an VHS-styles drone and super zoom footage of the two rappers baring their souls on top California’s Santa Ynez Mountains. “Hurt Enough” is a heart-touching song that delivers an honest lyric with enormous musical charm.
